At The Rare Chair Company we celebrate the art of chair making across the decades. From simple, hand-crafted Welsh stick chairs to design icons like a Thonet armchair and forward to earlier Parker Knoll models.
We love the shape, design, manufacturing materials and textures of the fabrics used in these fabulous products. We understand that a chair in your home is a personal choice and one that must evoke a positive emotion every time you see it and relax. A chair is also a statement from the designer and a reflection of your personality within your home. Yes, it is a big deal!
So, what will you find on our very cool website? Well, chairs and the odd sofa from all parts of the world in a myriad of styles, shapes and sizes by some of the most fantastic designers and manufacturers. We specialise in antique, vintage, mid-century and retro pieces.
Our chairs are sustainably sourced, restored and reupholstered (if required) to the highest standards. As a special addition to our stock items we also produce one-off chairs in a range of limited-edition high quality and luxurious fabrics.
Stock is updated regularly; we source for our clients and ship to your door using our own delivery drivers.
