A very special and significant piece. Dated circa 1830 this chair is a rare find and has been confirmed as an original by an independant antique valuer with a value of over £3000 (paperwork included in the sale). This is a French Provincial Gilt Armchair. Hand carved and gilted frame in beech and elm. Stunning hand carved detail throughout the frame, armrests and legs. Base of the seat pad has the original hessian covering and springs. Seat pad and back support is again original and finished in satin and silk with a delicate and subtle design which is hand stitched. A fantastic patina on the frame and the original fabric.
